Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

MatrlsAI is an organization based in Bangalore, India, building practical AI tools for everyday Indian businesses. SwiftLR is a project by MatrlsAI that digitises handwritten lorry receipts for transport offices. In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to MatrlsAI. "You" refers to any person who uses our website (matrlsai.in) or the SwiftLR mobile application.

2. What Information We Collect

When you use SwiftLR, we may collect:

  • Account information — your name, mobile number, and business name when you register.
  • Lorry receipt data — details you enter or scan: consignee name, consignor name, goods description, freight amount, GST number, and route information.
  • Device information — device model, operating system version, and app version, used to fix bugs and improve performance.
  • Usage data — which features you use and when, to help us understand how the app is being used.
  • WhatsApp contact numbers — mobile numbers of consignees you choose to notify, stored only to deliver notifications you authorise.

We do not collect payment card details, Aadhaar numbers, or any other sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the SwiftLR service — generating digital LRs, sending WhatsApp notifications, and maintaining your records.
  • Send you the nightly dispatch summary on WhatsApp (if you have enabled it).
  • Diagnose and fix technical problems in the app.
  • Improve the AI that reads handwriting, using anonymised and aggregated scan data only.
  • Contact you about important service updates or changes to this policy.

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to any third party.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • WhatsApp notifications — consignee mobile numbers are passed to WhatsApp (Meta) solely to deliver the messages you initiate. WhatsApp's own privacy policy governs that delivery.
  • Service providers — we use trusted third-party infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, crash reporting) who are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • Legal obligations — if required by Indian law or a valid court order, we may disclose information to the appropriate authorities.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored on servers located in India. We retain your account data and LR records for as long as your account is active, plus a further period of 2 years to allow for GST audit purposes. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by writing to us (see Section 8).

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Withdraw consent for WhatsApp notifications at any time within the app settings.

8. Children's Privacy

SwiftLR is a business tool intended for adults running or working in transport offices. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify registered users via the app or WhatsApp. Continued use of SwiftLR after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
