Delete Your Account

1. How to Delete Your Account

The shop owner can delete their HeyStock account directly from the app at any time — no support request needed.

  1. Open the HeyStock app on the owner's phone.
  2. Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete account.
  4. If you want a copy of your records, tap Export stock as PDF first.
  5. Tap Delete my account, read the confirmation, and confirm.

The Delete account option is available to the shop owner only. Staff members cannot delete the shop's account — a staff member who wants their access removed should ask the shop owner to remove their device from Settings → Devices, or write to us at anoop.meda@matrlsai.in.

2. What Happens When You Delete

As soon as you confirm deletion:

  • Your account, shop, and all device data are scheduled for deletion.
  • Your active subscription is cancelled immediately. You will not be charged again.
  • Your account details are anonymised — your name, mobile number, and password are removed from your account record.
  • All devices are signed out, including every staff phone linked to your shop.

3. The 7-Day Window

Your data is deleted 7 days after you confirm. During those 7 days you can log back in to cancel the deletion. After 7 days, your shop's records — stock, sales, customer credit and supplier entries — are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

If you need a copy of your records, export them as a PDF from the Delete account screen before confirming deletion.

4. What May Be Retained

We may keep a limited record of payment transactions (for example, the amount and date of subscription charges processed through Razorpay) where Indian law requires us to keep financial records. These records do not include your stock, sales, or credit data, and are deleted once the legal retention period ends.

5. Request Deletion by Email

If you are unable to access the app to delete your account, you can request deletion by emailing us at anoop.meda@matrlsai.in with the subject line "HeyStock Account Deletion Request", your shop name, and the mobile number registered to your account. We will process your request within 5 business days and confirm once done.
